The Role

Support the design and build of data products which collect, manage, and convert raw business data into information to inform insights that support decision making and drive actionable outcomes within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand and deliver on their data related requirements and initiatives
  • Contribute to the Design and Implementation of internal process improvements and efficiencies
  • Create and maintain data pipeline architecture for in-scope data sources bridging to both the Data Lake and Enterprise Data Warehouse Data Mart
  • Acquiring, ingesting, transforming and deployment of data models and datasets that meet functional and analytical business requirements
  • Ensure data pipeline availability and scalability through monitoring and issue resolution
  • Participate in the design and implementation of Data-Ops enabling technologies and design methodologies including version control, CI/CD – Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines and automation of test plans
  • Contribute to application of Governance Principles inclusive of Data Security and Privacy classification and enforcement, application of Data Quality Rules, Metadata Management, Data Classification and Technical Data Element Definitions

Preferred Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. business, information systems or technology, computer science) or a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience
  • Certifications in both Azure Cloud and Data Fundamentals
  • A naturally inquisitive and analytical mind, and strong ability to problem solve and work autonomously
  • Storage, modelling and archival of the three (3) type of data: Structure, Semi-Structured and Unstructured Data
  • Design and Maintenance of Data Warehousing and Data Lake Concepts
  • Intermediate expertise in scripting with SQL and Python. Understanding of Java, C# and .Net desirable
